House of Harlow 1960 Obsession

I’ve been in love with House of Harlow since the brand’s inception in 2008.  Until recently it was the only jewellery I wore.  Ever.

I love the strange combination of retro and tribal in the design and the use of materials, like acrylic and leather, which aren’t often seen in jewellery.   It’s the most unique and graphic line of jewellery I’ve ever seen.

At this point I have roughly 40 pieces which I think is quite a feat given that I was working with a uni student budget until last year.

House of Harlow 1960 Feather Stations

House of Harlow can be very pricey when purchased in Australian stores.  The standard Sunburst Pendant will set you back about $110 – $140, which was not affordable for me at the time.  So I searched around and I managed to get both of my Sunburst Pendants on eBay, the black and the white, for $80 and $63 respectively.

At the present, about half of my collection was bought on eBay.  The savings are absolutely phenomenal.  I think the best saving I got was on my Feather Stations necklace.  It retailed for $160 in store about about $135 online.  I purchased mine, brand new with tags, for $45.  Winning.

House of Harlow 1960 Tribal Wrap Ring

There are some great bargains up at the moment, click here to take a look.  There’s a Pyramid necklace up at the moment for $25.  I can’t believe I considered buying it for $140.

Belle Noel & Marc by Marc Jacobs rings

It’s almost unbelievable the jewellery bargains on eBay.

I’d say that the deals you can get on fashion jewellery are better than the deals you get on clothes.

In my early eBay days I only went on the site to buy House of Harlow 1960. It’s my favourite jewellery brand and I have close to 40 pieces at this point. About half of which I bough on eBay for next to nothing.

Honestly, if you love jewellery get on eBay now!

To demonstrate my point, here are my two most recent jewellery purchases. Belle Noel by Kim Kardashian Corset ring and my Marc by Marc Jacobs Milly ring.

The Corset ring retailed for $65 AUD on shopbop and I paid $27 for this one which was brand new and still in its packaging. I can’t quite remember how the Milly ring was but it was over $60 AUD and I paid $10.50. Yes, $10.50.

I’m so happy!
